(CNN) The U.S. will donate $15 million to the Auschwitz-Birkenau Foundation to preserve the site of the concentration camp and demonstrate America's commitment to Holocaust education, remembrance and research, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said Saturday in Krakow, Poland. Some 1.1 million people perished at the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp.
