(Jerusalem Post) Khaled Abu Toameh - The PLO Central Council on Wednesday approved a resolution calling on PA leader Mahmoud Abbas to stay in power until new elections are held in the West Bank and Gaza. Hamas described the council's resolution as a "coup against the Palestinian constitution." Hamas spokesman Fawzi Barhoum said: "This is an illegal decision and a political bribe to cover up for the fact that Abbas' term in office had expired a long time ago."
