Poll: Israelis Expect U.S. Pressure But Continued Good Relations

[Tel Aviv University] Ephraim Yaar and Tamar Hermann - According to a War and Peace Index poll of Israelis conducted on March 30-31, a majority of Israelis, both Arab (59%) and Jewish (54%), believe that the new Israeli government will maintain a good relationship with the Obama administration when it comes to advancing Israeli-Palestinian peace. However, a majority of the Jewish public (55%) expects Obama to pressure Israel if it does not cooperate in advancing the negotiations.
