[Ha'aretz] Barak Ravid - Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak met with U.S. Mideast envoy George Mitchell in London on Monday in an attempt to bridge differences over the issue of West Bank settlement construction. "I think there is progress. There's still a way to go," Barak said after the talks. He said all aspects of the Middle East peace process were discussed including the Palestinian, Syrian and Lebanese tracks. Mitchell will meet Prime Minister Netanyahu next week in Israel.
