Sderot: Living with Rockets

[Jerusalem Post] Anav Silverman - On Aug. 30, two rockets fired from Gaza triggered Sderot's rocket warning system and sent residents racing for a shelter. "I was scared but not surprised," says Rotem, 16. "We know that the rocket attacks will begin again and I don't think that anyone here really believes that the quiet will last." Dina Huri, principal of a Sderot elementary school, said, "During the summer, I had the three school bomb shelters made 'kid-friendly,'" having the shelter painted in bright colors and installing rugs so the children would feel more comfortable.
