Man, 85, Fined for Giving Military Secrets to Israel in the 1980s

[New York Times] Benjamin Weiser - Ben-Ami Kadish, 85, was fined $50,000 on Friday for leaking classified U.S. military documents to an Israeli agent in the early 1980s. From 1963 until 1990, he worked as a mechanical engineer at the Picatinny Arsenal in Dover, N.J., where he borrowed 50 to 100 classified documents from the arsenal's library. Kadish said he did not ask for nor did he receive anything of value for the documents. "I'm sorry I made a mistake," he told the judge. "I thought I was helping the State of Israel without harming the United States."
