Religious leaders, who view Shiism as heresy, have begun talking about a "Persian onslaught" that threatens Islam. "Iran has become more dangerous than Israel itself," said Sheik Musa bin Abdulaziz, editor of the fundamentalist Muslim magazine Al Salafi.
