Obama, Gates Take Aim at Israel's Arrow-3 Missile

[UPI] Martin Sieff - Israel's Arrow-3 anti-ballistic missile may be one of the first victims of President Obama's defense spending cuts. However, in compensation, the administration is prepared to help Israel buy the U.S. Navy's SM3 anti-ballistic missile system instead, built by Raytheon. The SM-3 is far more expensive per unit at $10-12 million each, compared with the cost of the Arrow-3 at only $1.5-2 million each.
