One Palestinian Billionaire's Vision of Unity

[Christian Science Monitor] Ilene R. Prusher - Palestinian billionaire businessman Munib al-Masri has launched al-Muntada al-Filistin, the Palestine Forum, through which he hopes to bring his society's warring political factions to a national reconciliation. The initiative calls for new elections in six months to a year for both the Palestinian legislative council and the presidency, a reconciliation conference within two months, and complete reform and integration of the various Palestinian security forces. His family fortune was built on gold, grain production, and olive oil presses, but in the post-Oslo era, Masri founded PADICO, Palestine Development and Investment Ltd., which employs more people than the PA.
