Turkey Begins Training Syrian Forces
(Middle East Eye-UK) Turkey has begun training Syrian forces under a security agreement between the two countries. 300 Syrians, mostly soldiers, but also police officers, are being trained at two bases in Turkey. Ankara plans to train 5,000 Syrian soldiers and police in the short term, and at least 20,000 in the medium to long term.
