U.S. Targets Sham Charity Networks Supporting Hamas and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine
(U.S. State Department) State Department Spokesperson Tammy Bruce said Tuesday: "Today, the United States sanctioned five individuals and five sham charities for financially supporting Hamas under the guise of humanitarian work. Additionally, we are targeting a fraudulent charity linked to the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP). This action targets so-called charities that operate in Turkey, Algeria, the Netherlands, Italy, and the West Bank and Gaza, as well as those who serve in leadership positions in these organizations."
