U.S. Vetoes UN Security Council Resolution Demanding Immediate Gaza Ceasefire
(New York Times) Farnaz Fassihi - The U.S. on Wednesday vetoed a UN Security Council resolution demanding an immediate and unconditional ceasefire in Gaza, the release of all hostages, and the resumption of full-scale humanitarian aid deliveries. Israel's ambassador to the UN Danny Danon said Wednesday that the resolution "doesn't advance humanitarian relief - it undermines it. It ignores a working system in favor of political agendas."
