Israeli Official: U.S. Backs Ending Hamas Rule over Gaza

(Ha'aretz) Jonathan Lis - A senior Israeli official familiar with the negotiations with Hamas has told Ha'aretz that the U.S. opposes ending the war without Hamas conceding its rule over Gaza. The U.S. is thus not pressuring Israel to be more flexible on this issue.
