Lebanese Sunni MP: I No Longer Support Hizbullah - It Has Been Destroyed; Relations with Israel Can Resolve Lebanon's Problems
(MEMRI-TV) Lebanese Sunni MP Walid Baarini told An-Nahar on April 2, 2025, that although he had previously supported Hizbullah, he now advocates for normalization with Israel, driven by his desire to prevent Lebanon from becoming a second Gaza. He has also lost trust in Iran, which he believes has proven incapable of taking action against America and Israel. He called on Lebanese politicians to agree on Hizbullah surrendering its weapons.
