Arab Youth Look to a Future Abroad
(Media Line-Jerusalem Post) Daoud Kuttab - 53% of youth in the Levant (Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, the Palestinian territories, Syria, and Yemen) and 48% in North Africa (Algeria, Egypt, Libya, Morocco, Sudan, South Sudan, and Tunisia) reported a desire to emigrate, chiefly for economic reasons, according to a study of Arab youth in March-April 2023 by ASDA'A BCW, a Middle East consultancy. However, only 27% of youth in Gulf countries say the same.
