Palestinians Demand Elections as Discontent with Leadership Grows
(Jerusalem Post) Khaled Abu Toameh - Hundreds of Palestinian political activists and academics are preparing a petition to demand that the Palestinian Authority leadership hold general elections without delay, reflecting widespread discontent with the Ramallah-based leadership. At the same time, the Palestinian security forces remain loyal to the PA and in control of the situation, and there are no signs that this is about to change in the near future.
