Peres: "Let the Palestinians Stop Shooting and They Won't Suffer"
[Reuters] Israeli President Shimon Peres told a news conference in London Wednesday that trade restrictions on goods made in Jewish settlements hurt Palestinian workers in the settlements and if they were fired due to a crackdown on exports it would increase unemployment. Asked how he justified the suffering of Palestinians in Gaza, Peres said: "Why should they suffer? Let them stop shooting and they won't suffer."
