IDF Commander of Coed Battalion Hails Performance of Mixed-Gender Unit
(Times of Israel) Judah Ari Gross - Lt.-Col. Erez Shabtay just completed two years as commander of Caracal, one of four IDF mixed-gender infantry battalions. "What I've seen in this battalion opened me up to a totally different world. We have female fighters and officers who are amazing, in terms of their cognitive ability, their creativity, their bravery and their courage," Shabtay said. "I have no question about the ability of women to be combat fighters....When you have good people, you can do anything."
