Jewish Groups in Argentina Outraged as AMIA Bombing Suspect Acquitted

(JTA) On Dec. 23, an Argentine federal court acquitted Carlos Telleldin of preparing the deadly car bomb that destroyed the AMIA Jewish center in 1994. According to the indictment, Telleldin filled a Renault van with explosives, left it in a parking lot, and handed it over to unidentified individuals who carried out the bombing which killed 85 and injured 300.
