Golan Druze Join Protests Against Syria's Assad
(Middle East Eye-UK) Kaamil Ahmed - Anti-government protests in the southern Syrian Druze town of Sweida have been met with solidarity demonstrations from Druze on the Israeli side of the Golan Heights. Sweida has seen seven days of protests calling for the fall of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad. Protesters in the Golan town of Majd al-Shams joined in on Saturday, carrying Syrian opposition flags and shouting anti-Assad slogans.
