Iran Tells Middle East Militias: Prepare for Proxy War

(Guardian-UK) Martin Chulov - Two senior intelligence sources said that Gen. Qassem Suleimani, leader of Iran's powerful Quds force, summoned the Iraqi militias under Tehran's influence to Baghdad three weeks ago and told them to "prepare for proxy war." The move to mobilize Iran's regional allies has triggered fears in the U.S. that its interests in the Middle East are facing a pressing threat.
