Arab League: Palestinian Issue Has "Reduced" Importance
(Media Line-Jerusalem Post) Dima Abumaria - Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Abu al-Gheith stated during a recent television interview that the priority of the Palestinian cause has been somewhat "reduced." Al-Gheith explained to a local Egyptian channel that times have changed and the Arab world has been dramatically transformed, citing the collapse of Yemen, Libya and Syria. One Egyptian political analyst said that al-Gheith's "statements are a clear attempt to prepare the way for the normalization of ties with the Zionist entity."
