Washington Questions Leaks in Khashoggi Case
(Asharq Al-Awsat-UK) Moaz al-Omari and Ali Barada - The U.S. administration denied on Saturday that it had reached a final conclusion in the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi at the Saudi consulate in Istanbul in October. State Department spokeswoman Heather Nauert said, "There remain numerous unanswered questions with respect to the murder of Mr. Khashoggi." The State Department will continue to seek facts "while maintaining the important strategic relationship between the United States and Saudi Arabia." President Trump on Saturday described Saudi Arabia as "a truly spectacular ally in terms of jobs and economic development."
