Number of Palestinians in Lebanon Two-Thirds Less than Estimates, Census Finds

(AP-New York Times) The first official census of Palestinians in Lebanon found 174,422 Palestinians, a figure almost two-thirds less than the previously estimated 450,000. Tens of thousands of Palestinians have emigrated from Lebanon over the past decades.
