Islamic Summit on Jerusalem Showcases New Mideast Alliances
(Jerusalem Post) Seth J. Frantzman - The leaders of Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Bahrain, and the UAE did not attend the emergency meeting in Istanbul on Wednesday of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, called in response to U.S. recognition of Jerusalem as Israel's capital, sending a message that they would not be standing shoulder to shoulder with Iran. Attendance was also weak from Muslim states in Central Asia and Africa.
