Israel Made $800 Million from Natural Gas Sales in 2016
(Times of Israel) Energy Minister Yuval Steinitz said last week that Israel earned $800 million from selling natural gas in 2016. Steinitz said Israel was advancing the construction of a gas pipeline to Turkey and at the same time constructing a pipeline to Italy, Greece and Cyprus. "Our goal is to supply 10% of the European energy market," he said.
