U.S. OKs Airbus Sale of Over 100 Planes to Iran
(AP-ABC News) Bradley Klapper - The Obama administration has approved the sale of more than 100 Airbus planes to Iran, U.S. officials said Tuesday. The European manufacturer Airbus needs U.S. Treasury Department approval because at least 10% of the plane's components are American-made. The planes are intended for Iran Air, whose sanctions were removed in January, and not Mahan Air, a company used for ferrying weapons and fighters to Syria's military.
