"Panama Papers" Show How Syria Regime Circumvented Sanctions
(AFP) Syria's regime circumvented international sanctions and funded its war effort through shadow companies, according to leaked "Panama Papers" seen by the French daily Le Monde. Three Syrian companies under U.S. sanctions used the services of Panama-based law firm Mossack Fonseca to create shadow companies in the Seychelles.
