UAE Funnels Funds to Gaza through Abbas Rival Dahlan
(Times of Israel) Avi Issacharoff - Mohammed Dahlan, PA President Mahmoud Abbas' main political rival, has been working together with Hamas to funnel funds from the United Arab Emirates to Palestinians in Gaza. The UAE has been transferring large sums of money to Dahlan, who has been passing it on to the National Islamic Committee for Social Solidarity to distribute to the needy, in part to boost Dahlan's standing in Gaza. Dahlan holds no official position in Gaza, and the money also reaches Hamas.
