Hamas Slanders the PA's Mahmoud Abbas
(Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs) Yoni Ben Menachem - Hamas has launched a slander campaign against PA President Mahmoud Abbas in response to Abbas' close cooperation with Egyptian President al-Sisi against Hamas. An article in the Hamas journal Al-Risala on Dec. 11 describes Abbas' many disputes with his political opponents. The slander campaign against Abbas reflects the great tension between Fatah and Hamas in the wake of the Gaza war.
