Iraq Vows Jihad on U.S. If Attacked
(Ottawa Citizen) Some 600 Iraqi Islamic preachers, meeting under the auspices of the Iraqi government, declared a holy war against the U.S. Monday, vowing to defeat the "criminals, barbarians, and savages" if the U.S. attacks their country. The meeting was also intended to warn Kurds not to join forces with U.S. troops.
