U.S. Doctors Try to Restore Sight of Haifa Bombing Victim - Larry Brook

(Deep South Jewish Voice/JTA) - Doctors at the University of Alabama at Birmingham are working to restore the eyesight of 10-year-old Oran Almog, an Israeli blinded in the Oct. 4 terrorist bombing of a Haifa restaurant. On Oct. 21, a team of surgeons spent eight hours working on his right eye, reattaching his retina to restore partial vision.
