Hamas is the Largest Palestinian Political Movement
(Ha'aretz) Danny Rubinstein - Hamas today is considered the largest Palestinian political movement. The increasing power of Hamas is especially prominent compared to the decline of Fatah, the Palestinian ruling party, whose leaders are preoccupied with internal fighting. Cells belonging to Hamas's military wing have organized in every neighborhood, village, and refugee camp. A clear sign of their presence is the omnipresent graffiti: paeans of praise for suicide bombers can be found on every corner of the West Bank and Gaza Strip.
