U.S.: Israel Has a Right to Defend Itself
(State Department) Asked about Syria and terrorism Thursday, State Department spokesman Richard Boucher responded: "When you have something like the bombings that occurred [Tuesday]...Israel has a right to defend itself and we don't - they don't come to us and we don't approve of Israeli military operations. So that's not a subject of discussion. But we ourselves have made clear our concerns about Syria's support for various groups."
