Mubarak Appoints Acting President

(Ha'aretz) Yoav Stern - Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak, 76, who traveled to Germany Sunday for surgery to repair a slipped disc, has appointed Prime Minister Atef Obeid as acting president during his absence.
