Straw: Palestinians Will Have to Compromise for Peace

(Scotsman-UK) Foreign Secretary Jack Straw Thursday denied that President George Bush's backing for Israeli plans would make the coalition's task in Iraq more difficult. At a Foreign Office news conference, Straw said "I don't think it will make it easier or more difficult as far as Iraq is concerned," and warned the Palestinians they would have to make compromises in any final peace settlement.
