Powell: Middle East Reform "Can't Be Imposed from Outside"
(AFP) Secretary of State Colin Powell sought to dispel fears in Saudi Arabia and Egypt over U.S. Middle East policy, saying change in the region "can't be imposed from outside." "I agree with the Egyptians and the Saudis: (reform) can't be imposed from outside. It has to be accepted from the inside," Powell said in an interview on U.S.-funded Alhurra television.
