Rice: Syria Is a Dangerous Country
[Maariv-Hebrew, 12Nov06] Ben Caspit - "The U.S. is concerned and is closely watching the use of Syrian territory as a way-station for the accelerated rearming of Hizballah," Secretary of State Rice said in a conversation with Maariv. "Syria is a way-station for Iranian weapons to spread across the Middle East....We are speaking of a dangerous country that acts in a dangerous way." "We have made it clear that Syria must change its behavior immediately. It is not a state that contributes to the stability of the Middle East, this is clear to everyone, and we are following this situation carefully. We are working with others on the international scene to make it clear to Syria that it must change this mode of action."
