German President Arrives in Israel to Mark 40 Years of Relations between Countries
(AP/San Francisco Chronicle) German President Horst Koehler arrived in Israel Tuesday to commemorate the 40th anniversary of ties between the two countries. Germany has become Israel's no. 1 trading partner in Europe, and stands out as a vocal supporter even when European neighbors are critical. Koehler is the fourth German president to visit Israel.
