IDF Warns of New Gaza War If Hamas Abducts Soldier
(Ha'aretz) Anshel Pfeffer - In the wake of assessments that Hamas may be planning to attempt to capture more IDF soldiers, a senior General Staff officer warned on Sunday that Israel's response to any kidnapping would be no less severe than its 2009 military operation in Gaza. The officer said, "it must be made clear to them that a kidnapping will come at a very high cost....The cost will have to be of the magnitude of Operation Cast Lead."
