White House Correspondent Apologizes for Saying Jews Should "Get Out of Palestine" and Go Back to Poland and Germany

(New York Daily News) Leo Standora - Veteran White House correspondent Helen Thomas suggested last week that Jews should "get the hell out of Palestine" and "go back home to Poland, Germany, America and everywhere else." The daughter of Lebanese immigrants made her controversial comments at a White House Jewish Heritage Celebration on May 27. Thomas later posted a lukewarm apology on her personal Web site.
