Abbas Cabinet Calls to Confront Israel over Jerusalem
[Reuters] Mohammed Assadi - The Western-backed PA government in Ramallah pledged on Monday "to confront Israel and its plans designed to thwart any efforts to establish an independent Palestinian state on the territories occupied in 1967 with East Jerusalem as its capital." The Palestinian statement also condemned what it called a plan by Jews to "perform religious rituals" in a compound containing the al-Aqsa Mosque.
