U.S. Says It's Nearing Deal with Israel on Settlements

[Ha'aretz] Barak Ravid - Israel and the U.S. are closing the gaps over West Bank settlement construction, senior American officials told Ha'aretz on Tuesday. Prime Minister Netanyahu will meet Wednesday with U.S. special envoy George Mitchell in a bid to reach an understanding on the issue.
