Gaza Cease-Fire Discussions Continuing
[Ynet News] Roni Sofer - Maj.-Gen. (res.) Amos Gilad, the head of the Israel Defense Ministry's Security-Diplomatic Bureau, returned to Egypt on Friday to discuss the Egyptian initiative for a cease-fire between Israel and Hamas. Prime Minister Ehud Olmert said Thursday, "We will stop terror and stop Hamas from rearming, without any compromises. I don't want any time pressures or international pressure to dictate failing to meet these goals." Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni made it clear that even after the agreement is signed, Israel reserves the right to respond with fire to Hamas' attempts to rearm itself.
