Ethnic Cleansing of Jews

[Jerusalem Post] Ashley Perry - Drazen Petrovic defined "ethnic cleansing" as "a well-defined policy of a particular group of persons to systematically eliminate another group from a given territory." In 1947 there were about 740,000 Palestinians living in the area formerly called Palestine. Today, there are over five million Palestinians (including Israeli Arabs) living in the same territory. Before 1948 there were nearly 900,000 Jews in "Arab lands" and only 6,500 in 2001. When compared with the demographic trends for the Palestinians, there appears to be only one type of ethnic cleansing in the Arab-Israeli conflict.
