Why Abbas Never Refers to "the Jewish People"

(BICOM) Yossi Kuperwasser - Indirect incitement is someone saying, "This guy really should be killed. I am not telling you to do it, but he should be killed, and killing him is a really noble deed." The Palestinians are very strong in indirect incitement, building the atmosphere that promotes violence and terror. Abbas never refers to "the Jewish people" because in his mind there is no such thing. If there is no such thing as the Jewish people, they cannot claim any historic connection to the Holy Land. Thus, to the Palestinians, Israel has no right to exist as the nation state of the Jewish people. Yes, the Quran tells stories of the Children of Israel, but according to the Palestinians, they are not the Jewish people that live today and they do not have any right to a state in this place. Because the Jews do not have a right to a state, everything you do to deny them this right is justifiable. Brig. Gen. (res.) Yossi Kuperwasser is Director General of Israel's Ministry for Strategic Affairs.
