(Access/Middle East) Efraim Halevy - Sheikh Yassin was directly involved in operational activity in the terrorist field against Israel. He was directly involved in briefing certain people who then went out and carried out terrorist acts. The removal of Yassin removes from the scene a key figure in the field of terrorism. It's the removal of a very, very extreme leader...who to some extent set the tone - and a very bad tone - for the region as a whole.
