(Jerusalem Post) Editorial - Nowhere is it written that democratization must be dumb. Terrorist groups must be made to understand that winning elections at gunpoint, whether among Lebanese or Palestinians, will not sanitize them. It is problematic enough to trust "reformed" terrorists, as the experience with Arafat showed. But before terrorists can even claim to be reformed, they must first disarm and disavow terrorism - something Hamas and the myriad Palestinian militias, including those aligned with Fatah, are far from doing.
