[Palestinian Center for Policy and Survey Research] A poll conducted by the Palestinian Center for Policy and Survey Research on 13-15 August 2009 found: Do you think there is corruption in PA institutions under the control of Mahmoud Abbas? Yes 68%, No 20%. Status of democracy and human rights in the West Bank: Good 37%, Bad 35%. Status of democracy and human rights in Gaza: Good 28%, Bad 43%. Mutual recognition of Israel as the state of the Jewish people and Palestine as the state of the Palestinian people: Agree 49%, Disagree 49%.
