(CNN) Abeer Salman - Israel said the terms of Hamas' ceasefire proposal remained "far from" meeting its "requirements." A senior Israeli and a senior U.S. official said that Hamas' proposal diverges from the one Israel had helped craft with Egypt. It calls for an end to the war, which Israel has said it will not accept. Benny Gantz, a member of Israel's war cabinet, said Monday there were "significant gaps" between Israel and Hamas.
